Many people dream of enhancing their smile but hesitate to move forward with cosmetic dental treatment because they fear the results will look overly white, too perfect, or not like them. At Ocala Smiles in Ocala, Florida, Drs. Robert Evelyn and Wayne Harper specialize in creating natural-looking cosmetic dentistry results that are both beautiful and believable. You are not alone if you are considering treatment but worry about your smile looking unnatural. Below, we answer five common patient questions that reflect these concerns—and offer reassurance based on our dentists’ expert, personalized approach.
A well-done cosmetic treatment should blend seamlessly with your existing features. We use advanced techniques, digital imaging, and personalized shade matching to ensure your restorations mimic the natural appearance of real teeth. From veneers to whitening, the goal is always enhancement, not exaggeration. Most patients notice that others notice their smile looks great, but cannot pinpoint exactly what has changed.
That “too perfect” Hollywood look is not the standard unless you specifically request it. We work closely with each patient to create veneers that complement their facial features, skin tone, and existing teeth. The size, shape, and shade of each veneer are customized to them. The result is a balanced, attractive smile that looks refreshed, not artificial.
One of the hallmarks of natural-looking cosmetic dentistry is variety and realism. Your natural teeth have subtle differences in texture, translucency, and contour. We design your restorations with these same qualities in mind. He often incorporates tiny imperfections or natural gradients to maintain the individuality of your smile while still improving it. You’ll never get a “cookie-cutter” look at our office.
Yes, absolutely. We offer digital smile design technology that allows you to preview your final results. This gives you the chance to request changes or adjustments before any permanent work is done. We encourage collaboration and communication at every step so you can feel confident and excited—not worried—about your new smile.
Teeth whitening is highly customizable, and we ensure your results match your aesthetic goals. He helps patients choose a shade that appears naturally radiant without looking “blindingly white.” The treatment is carefully controlled to avoid an overdone look, and the goal is always a clean, fresh, and youthful smile that still looks like yours.
