For millions of people across the country, tooth loss is a grim reality. But it doesn’t have to stay that way indefinitely. Modern dentistry has given you a second chance at having a beautiful smile with dental implants. Whether you’re missing one tooth or many, Dr. Robert Evelyn from Ocala Smiles can use implants to restore the totality of your smile. We’re your one-stop shop for implant treatment in the Ocala and Belleview, Florida area.Â
Here are just a few of the many ways dental implants can perfect your smile:
Tooth loss leaves behind gaps in your smile that can make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. Implants fill those gaps to give you back a whole, confident smile. Implant restorations are custom-made to look and feel real. They’ll fit in seamlessly with your remaining teeth to complete your smile naturally. With implants, you can smile with confidence again.
Implant restorations are anchored in place by implants: small, titanium screws placed inside your jawbone surgically to serve as tooth roots. Once Dr. Evelyn attaches your new teeth to the implants, they become a permanent part of your smile. You’ll have full tooth functionality for biting and chewing, enabling you to eat all your favorite food.
Your jawbone starts to shrink when teeth go missing, as there are no tooth roots to stimulate bone growth and regeneration. Bone loss causes your facial features to sink, impacting your smile and overall appearance. Implants prevent bone loss to preserve your jaw health and keep your facial features intact.
When multiple teeth go missing, the remaining teeth can start to drift to fill the holes left by lost teeth. This can destabilize your smile. By filling the gaps left by missing teeth, implants prevent dental drift to keep your smile straight and even.
Tooth loss creates gaps in your smile that are difficult to clean. Food and debris can easily get stuck in these spaces, making them fertile ground for plaque and bacteria to breed. Filling those gaps with implants facilitates oral hygiene, so you can keep your mouth clean. A cleaner mouth means less risk of cavities, chronic bad breath, and gum disease.
At Ocala Smiles, we can use implants to replace any number of missing teeth. Single tooth implants, multiple implants, and all-on-X implant treatments can be paired with dental crowns, a fixed bridge, and dentures, respectively, to make your smile whole and healthy again. With proper care, your implants can last indefinitely, offering a permanent solution to your tooth loss issues. In this way, implants can meet all your restorative dental needs.
